Frequently Asked Questions...

Where are Diamon-Fusion's® products manufactured?

Made in America! Our products are manufactured at our production facility in Irvine, California.

How does the Clear & Bright Diamon-Fusion® process work?

It uses a two-stage nanotechnology process. Diamon-Fusion's® flagship protective coating is patented and branded under the Diamon-Fusion trademark. It uses a two-stage nanotechnology process. The chemical reaction created in the first stage causes a "cross-linked" and "branched" ultra-thin silicone film which grows from below the surface. The second stage 'caps' the entire chain of atoms. This unique 'capping' substantially increases the hydrophobicity and durability, leaving, chemically speaking, no points of attachment for contaminants; thereby creating a truly repellent charge.

Through simple neutralization, all chemicals become inert within a few seconds. No curing time is needed since the chemical reaction itself occurs in less than 2 seconds.

The resulting coating is an ultra-thin protective layer of optically clear material which makes the surface significantly easier to clean and resistant to weathering. The method is done at nano-scale levels, which is a length scale ranging from approximately 1 to 100 nanometers. For comparison, the thickness of a human hair ranges from 40,000 to 1000,000 nanometers.

The bond created in the patented process is a covalent bond. A covalent bond means that the coating shares electrons with molecules in the glass itself, thus becoming part of the glass. Covalent bonds are approximately 10 times stronger than hydrogen-bridge bonds, which are commonly used in most other water-repellent coatings.

On what surfaces do Clear & Bright/Diamon-Fusion® protective coatings work?

Clear & Bright/Diamon-Fusion® protective coating chemically reacts with most silica-based surfaces such as glass, ceramic tile, granite, porcelain, and quartz, as well as other products which contain silica.

Can Clear & Bright/Diamon-Fusion's® coating be applied to my building or in my home after the glass, granite, tile, or porcelain has been installed?

Yes. Clear & Bright/Diamon-Fusion's® coating can be installed in the factory, shop, or on-site. We pride ourselves in providing the highest level of industrial flexibility in the industry - meaning that we have the right application process for any job - from high-volume factory systems (which deliver the most efficient application process on the planet) - all the way down to a single-application system for custom jobs done by our trained professionals.

What is the warranty on Diamon-Fusion's® coatings?

The warranty is for a lifetime; as long as basic manufacturer maintenance recommendations are followed.

Diamon-Fusion® treated surfaces are guaranteed to remain more water repellent than untreated glass for the lifetime as long as basic manufacturer maintenance recommendations are followed; and no harsh or abrasive cleaners are used. Diamon-Fusion's® patented nano-coating chemically bonds to the glass and creates a patented, protective nano-film which when properly applied by an authorized re-seller, is guaranteed not to discolor, chip, crack, haze, or peel for the lifetime of the surface.

Is Diamon-Fusion's® nanotechnology environmentally friendly?

Rooted in our eco-friendly philosophy, we have implemented the highest standards in the handling of our products to ensure its use is safe for the environment.

In fact, Diamon-Fusion's® Nanotechnology provides a great benefit to the environment. All coatings are applied using an environmentally safe, scientific process. The chemicals used in our patented process have been in use for decades in different applications in a variety of industries worldwide; and are not found to contravene the U.S. Clean Air or Clean Water Acts. Diamon-Fusion® has a blanket approval for our "zero emission" application process from the South Coast Air Quality Management District in Southern California, one of the most stringent air quality management agencies in the world. There are also no permissible exposure limits set by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Once treated with the Clear & Bright Diamon-Fusion® process, will I still need to clean my glass, tile, porcelain, or granite?

Yes, you will still need to do some cleaning, but intervals for cleaning is reduced by 90%.

The Diamon-Fusion® coating REDUCES cleaning time, but does not eliminate it entirely. Diamon-Fusion® is similar to the development of Teflon® for cooking pans. While you can cook food in uncoated pans, it is so much easier to clean up if you cook with Teflon® coated pans. Just as your Teflon-coated pan needs an easy, fast cleaning, so too will your Diamon-Fusion® protected surface need an occasional, quick clean (*TEflon is a registered trademark of E.I.
